MY PHILOSOPHY |
|
|
My professional philosophy is to furnish my clients with the highest standard of legal services available, while keeping expenses, both financial and emotional, to a minimum. I believe the best way to accomplish this goal is to encourage settlement. It is better to compromise and settle your case with certainty, rather than to risk the unknowns of litigation at great expense. Today's legal environment provides a wide range of settlement options for clients, from mediation to settlement conferencing to binding arbitration. Together, we will explore all of the options available, discuss the pros and cons of each and then rely on you to make the final decision about the overall conduct of your case. I never forget that I work for the benefit of my clients and not vice verse! Sometimes, circumstances leave no choice but to litigate disputes in court. When that situation arises, I promise that I will be a zealous advocate for your position. Preparation, attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the facts of your case are hallmarks of my litigation practice. A lawyer can never guarantee the outcome of a hearing or trial, but I can guarantee that I will be responsive to you, answer telephone calls right away and be timely in the production of my work. The practice of law is a service business and I always strive to be efficient, knowledgeable and compassionate. And now a word about fees. I believe my fees are reasonable at $250.00 per hour. I also would be happy to provide you with a free consultation about your legal issues; please give me a call at (425) 462-5151. To take on a new case, such as a Dissolution case with children, I generally request that an advance fee deposit of $3,000.00 be deposited in a Trust Account. However, this deposit may vary depending upon the facts of your case. Usually, wills with trust provisions for a married couple will cost a flat fee of $750.00 in total. Please feel free to discuss financial arrangements with me. Also, rest reassured that I never have non-refundable deposits. Any funds not used for approved fees and costs (e.g. filing fees, messenger service, expert witnesses, etc.) are promptly refunded to the client. Finally, I value honesty, integrity, compassion and common courtesy. I believe that a strong and successful representation of your case is perfectly consistent with being honest, polite and compassionate, especially where children are involved. Please feel free to give me a call. Thank you for visiting my web site. I send my best wishes to you as you face your legal challenges ahead. |
